First Noel - with Papermania

Good morning hope everyone had a good weekend, well it's Monday yet again and I don't know about you but it feels a little cold today or am I just going soft in my old age lol! well I haven't reached for the thermostat on the heating yet so it can't be that bad.  As it is Monday and as per usual I am on child minding services so whilst Holly is having a nap I will attempt to get this post finished but don't hold your breath. Have you ever tried to type on your keyboard without making any noise? well I must have one noisy keyboard because the harder I try the louder it's getting so I will just keep going and see how far I can get before she wakes up.....
Stamps this week are 5 x 7" First Noel - Poinsettia clear set from docrafts Papermania. Oh! that didn't last long, it's Holly's lunch time so wait there and I'll be right back....................................................................
OK lunch over so here are the cards for this week......

This is a 6x6" card
The front has been embossed using a Die'sire Embossalicious folder Mistletoe Moments.
The Poinsettia has been stamped in Spanish Moss green Versafine ink and embossed in clear powder. I have used the Festive Berries Distress Ink pad to colour and red Stickles glitter glue to highlight.
The background paper is 12x12 double sided Poinsettia Duo by docrafts.

The inside panels are cut using an Xcut die.

Our next card is an 8x8"

I have stamped both background panels with the Poinsettia and both have been embossed one in Gold Luster powder the other in Black (you could use black Versafine ink and clear powder)
The bauble has been painted in black acrylic then stamped with a clear embossing ink pad and embossed with gold powder, I then added some Stickles Gold glitter glue.

The flowers are cut using a Marianne Creatables die, the corners are from a Spellbinders die.
I used my anti-static bag on the backgrounds before embossing
and a flat ended paint brush which made a quick job of painting the bauble.

That's it for this post my services are being called upon one's small person is getting tired and a little fed-up so I will finish off and see you all soon.
P.S. don't forget class this week will be in the new shop : )

Home for Christmas - Urban Papermania

Good afternoon folks and a somewhat colder one I find don't say that the good weather has come to an end already I really don't want to start having to rely on the drier just yet, hopefully we will have a good few days of pegging the washing out and saving on the electric!
Right my lovely granddaughter has slept for well over an hour and she has woke in such a pleasant mood that I am able to sit at my PC and post this weeks cards for you all to browse over so here we go before the mood of the small one changes or she needs a change if you get my drift lol!
Urban - Home for Christmas (Baubles) by Papermania....... great set of stamp in my opinion......

First card is 6x6
I have used background paper by Craft Creations and die cut an aperture with the Marvelous Squares Majestic Elements by Spellbinders

I have stamped the images in Moss Green Versafine Ink Pad (Crushed Olive or Pine Needles would work) and Red Berries Distress ink, all have been embossed with Clear Powder.

I added a touch of Diamond Stickles Glitter glue to the Holly.
The second card is an 8x8

On this card I have used the same colour of ink pads and clear powder.

The holly stamp has been used to create a wreath shape for the main image and I have used some of the 12x12 burgundy embossed card for the background layer and border strip.

So there you have it nothing too difficult for this week just merry and bright as the label suggests lol!

See you soon : )

Silent Night - Michael Powell and Papermania

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend and the weather is holding out which has to be a bonus. I just have to say to all you lovely lucky ladies and myself included how is the new arrival, best buddy, newest toy, joy of joys and of course I mean the eBosser's that we all took possession of last week, I hope it's out of it's box and you have at least tried it once lol! mine needs a new cutting plate already well not quite but it has been well and truly christened and my new baby is doing nicely thank you very much : )) Now onto some more but a little less important stuff this week's cards........
The main image has been created by a Papermania Urban Stamp (Perfect Partner) by Michael Powell and is called Silent Night, hope you like them.........

This card is 6 x 6 square
The background has been created by using Distress Ink pads Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves. I have stamped a small snowflake design in the Docrafts Artiste pigment ink pad blue and then embossed them with white powder so you get a little of the blue coming through.
The main image has been stamped with black Versafine ink and a hint of colour has been added with a water brush and Dusty Concord and finally I used my Quickie glue pen and some glitter for the hanging lights and rooftops.
The small stars and snowflake are both die cuts

This card is an 8 x 8 square

Sorry about the photo's they are rubbish my camera is out of action so I had to use my mobile and upload them I will try and replace them for better one's latter.

Once again I have created the background using Distress Ink pads Faded Jeans and Black Soot.
The main image has been painted in the same way as the first card and blue glitter this time for highlighting.
The stars have been die cut in dark blue glitter card.
Both sentiments are from another Urban Stamps 6x6 set called Home for Christmas (Baubles) and I will be using this set in the very near future.
Well I better go and see if I can't get my camera working again and take some much better photo's than these one's, see you all soon and get those eBosser's going lol!!

Stockings from Papermania

Evening everyone didn't think that I was going to make it this week but by the skin of my teeth here I am after everyone has been fed and my somewhat poorly granddaughter has just gone home I can't tell you how tired I'm feeling right now, and even though I had almost finished my cards on Saturday it has still taken until now to get them posted on the blog. I sometimes think that my very youngest of the grandchildren are in collaboration with each other just to keep my attention and keep me away from my computer, however I have prevailed and so I can now reveal to you what it is I have done with this week's stamps.....

C5 Easel style card.

The stamps are Stockings clear  5"x7" set  from Papermania.

I have used Distress Ink pads Antique Linen and Tea Die.

Versamark and Gold Embossing powder.

Cosmic Shimmer (mica paints) Lava Red and Holly Leaf.

Black Versafine for the sentiment.

Again this is a C5 card, I decided to keep both cards quite simple in design and let the stamps do the work.
The main image has been stamped in Black Versafine and embossed in clear powder.
I have used a Quickie Glue pen and some Pink and Crystal glitters just to add little highlights.
The background has been embossed with a Cuttlebug Snowflake folder and Black soot to distress around the edges.

Can't wait for work tomorrow guess what's arrived at last, the order from Crafters Companion has landed and I get to meet my Ebosser Hooray!!! So all you ladies who ordered one will be the proud owners from tomorrow, see you very soon, crafty dreams lol!

Curly but Stylish - Woodware's Curly Leaves

Morning everybody hope you all had a good weekend, mine as per usual started out really quiet then ended up full time in the kitchen feeding the hordes, well half of them anyway so not too bad by our standards lol!
This week has gone so quickly and time just keeps on running out don't you find one minuet it's class day and then you blink and it's almost class day once again, just as well I have managed to get the cards done for this week and for this week we will be using these lovely stamps from Woodware Clear Magic CURLY LEAVES .............. and for £6 you get nine stamps in the set ............. great value!!

Hope you like them and I have only used three of them for these cards..........
The first card is C5 in size.

I have stamped the leaves in Black Versafine ink and embossed in clear powder.

Chipped Sapphire D Ink has been used to create the background panel and I have also spritzed the panel with Glimmer Mist Mica Spray Lavender Fields.
I have painted the leaves with my Twinkling H2O's Rich Cobalt.

White organza ribbon and bow.

The birthday sentiment is from the Victorian Spray set we have used in the past on other cards.......

Card two is a 6 x 6 square and the background panel has been painted with H2O's Chiffon Pink and Fern, once dry I ran it through my Big Shot with embossing folder Extra Flint from Couture Creations.
This time the leaves have been stamped onto patterned paper, sorry girls! just a bit more cutting out but it's not difficult trust me!

I have used some small crystals to highlight the swirls.
Twinkling H2O's
this is just to give you an idea of the colours I used

Okay that's it for this week see you soon : )

Little Songbird's - Woodware

Hello to everyone hope you've had a good weekend, I can't believe we have had one quiet household this Sunday although we had our youngest grandson most of yesterday, ah well one out of two days isn't bad going by our standards lol! even though Tyler is walking now so you have to have eyes on him at all times.
I did however manage to get my cards finished yesterday and have to say they were a pleasure to make as I have just fell in love with these ever so sweet stamps from Woodware and they will cover a range of different occasions which helps the mojo flow along nicely.
Hope you agree with me, they made my job simply a dream to do and I can't say that too often as it usually takes some time before you get the right ideas flowing if you know what I mean.....
This first card is 8 x 8
The next is a 6 x 6 card

Picked Raspberry

Flowers and Vases - By Francoise Read

Hello everyone or should I say good evening, wow! how late is this for a post? What a day I've had, child minding as usual for a rather out of sorts darling little angel who has had ear ache with her teething problems all day and she was so tired bless her but every time she went to sleep and I spied my chance she woke and was so hot and bothered that I could not leave her and this went on all day, Oh well! the joys of grandma's sitting service lol!  It seems that the harder I try to get in front the more I get behind maybe I should just stop trying and see what fate has in store or not maybe I shouldn't temp fate!
Right to business this week is a little less is more and less stress so I came up with these two cards made from Woodware's clear magic set Flowers and Vases by Francoise Read -
This card is a 6 x 6
I have used Distress Ink Pads Scattered Straw, Broken China and Spun Sugar.
The embossed panels are from a Cuttlebug folder Daisy you can't see it very well in this photo because it's white on white.
The heart die is from Nellie's multi frame's
 The next card is 8 x 8

The large background panel has been coloured with Broken China and then edged with a Marine Promarker pen.
The background paper has been stamped with Versamark and embossed with Aqua Tinsel embossing powder. The flowers and vase border have been stamped with black Versafine ink and embossed in clear powder.  I have coloured the vases and flowers with a Cyan Flexmarker and a Citrus Aquamarker ( any water based colouring pens will work, you could try your Promarkers but go carefully as it may make the embossed lines smudge.)  The die cut panels are Spellbinders Just Rite Vintage Labels Two and the sentiment is from Creative Expressions. Well like I said less is more or is it just short and sweet?
See you soon  : D
