Elegant Gifts from Hunkydory

Well that's another Bank Holiday over and done with and quite a wet one for us here today unlike yesterday when it was glorious sunshine all day long which I hasten to add that I spent most of it in my gardening gloves  with trowel and spade in hand, yes you've guessed it down on the allotment cleaning out my greenhouse and emptying all tubs etc ready for the next lot which should already have been planted by now, curse that darn weather I say!! that and not enough hours in a week. Well it was all worth it and we managed to get loads done but as always there's still lots to do, isn't there always????
Back to the craft room before I get carried away and the important stuff, these next cards have been made with stamps from Hunkydory's Elegant Gifts and I have to tell you that there are quite a lot of stamps on this one set ranging from cute cat's to oriental, handbags and shoes not forgetting birds and a cage...... plus more.
I decided to stick with the Geisha girl for our next cards and I have used darker colours in a blue and red theme.....
On this C5 card I have used a Chipped Sapphire Distress ink pad, clear embossing powder, Versamark pen, blue vellum, small crystals and blue and silver Card Candi.
The sentiments both come from the same stamp set as all the other images.
(Hunkydory)

The leaves have been punched and embossed (using blue vellum) with an Xcut leaf Punch.
I have also used some clear embossing powder to highlight the parasol.

On this 6x6 card I have used Chipped Sapphire and Fired Brick D.I.pads. The flowers and words have been stamped in black Versafine, small pearls have been added to the centre of each flower and the Geisha girl has been stamped in Fired Brick and embossed in clear powder.
The moon has been covered with a glue pen and crystal glitter...
Simple but Elegant with a touch of Oriental..
Gosh!! I seem to feel rather stiff now since I have been sat here chatting to you all must try and remove myself from this chair before I take root, Oh easier said than done!!!........ OH! my aching bones, must be tablet time lol!
See you soon x

Flowers with Alcohol Inks

Morning everyone, hope you all had a good weekend I am rather stiff and a little sore today after spending half of yesterday on our allotment which was very much needed I have to say but there is still so much to be done, how the WEED'S do GROW when your back is turned lol! but at least there is still some blossom on the fruit trees, dare I speak to soon? we'll have to wait and see because last year was very poor due to all the bad weather, say no more hush! hush!
Back to reality for now with this weeks cards and some Acetate and Alcohol Inks yum yum! I have used a set of spotty flower stamps by Woodware Clear Magic and a couple of the Adirondack (Tim Holtz) Alcohol inks.
They turned out quite bright I have to say but at this time of year that's not a bad thing....... we could all do with a bit of brightness as that big orange thing in the sky doesn't seem to make too many appearances these days, oh well ever hopeful!
Here we have a C5 card with the flowers layered up, stamped onto acetate with Black Stazon ink then coloured with the alcohol inks.
Alcohol Inks
Butterscotch
Red Pepper
Terra Cotta
Stream

Black Stazon Ink pad
Anti-static bag
Blending tool with felt pads
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink pad
This card is a 6x6 square and the background has been made from silver mirror card, both ribbons have been coloured to compliment each card and a little bit of lace to add a finishing touch.
Well short and sweet as it was I'm off to visit my sis to see how she is, as I have not seen her over the weekend due to her son and family paying a visit, thought it might be too much for her everyone going at once, see you all soon x

Bubble Bloom with Clarissa and Felicity

Good Morning, well first of all I'm sorry that this post is a little late and as you will already know that this weeks class has been moved to Saturday and that I have not been around so to speak meaning that I have not been able to craft or even think about it until this week simply because when I got home from class last Tuesday afternoon I was met with a bad news phone call from my sis-in-law which sent me into sheer panic, so apologies to all the lovely ladies who came to the evening class which I was unable to take due to being at the hospital with my brother-in-law as my sister had been rushed into Preston Royal. Anyway she seems to be doing OK and she has been extremely lucky to say the least and the whole family are praying for her recovery.
Well after all that I did manage to finish the next set of cards for next week, so please meet Felicity and Clarissa by Woodware......Clear Magic Singles.
Here I have stamped Bubble Bloom Felicity and embossed in white powder.

I have coloured the bubbles with my H2O's and Card Candi

Distress Ink pad Tumbled Glass
Versamark
White Embossing Powder
Fine line black pen
Archival or Versafine Black ink pad

H2O's  Sunburst, Gold Dust, Bashful Blue, Buttercup, Fern

(click on a photo to enlarge)

Here I have stamped Bubble Bloom Clarissa onto a pattered paper and embossed with Black Powder, again I have painted the leaves with my H2O's,
I have also used Card Candi, small pearls, large pearls and some 3D Glaze
which you can just about see in the next photo.

The background on this card has been created by using the main image stamp then coloured with my Promarkers - Baby Pink, Lime Green and Rose Pink.
More Card Candi and 3D Glaze.

Before I go I would like to share a photo of a young lady who came to class last week as she was visiting here all the way from Italy and seems to be a very talented and budding young crafter, so well done Stella your cards were great and we enjoyed having you in our craft group, keep on crafting  : )
See you all soon,  Sheilagh x
