Say it with Flowers
Hello once again on this cold and frosty Monday, not much time to post today as my lounge, dining room and hallway look as if a bomb has dropped and are full of yes you've guessed it boxes and boxes of all kinds of Christmas decorations, tinsel, lights etc... and my plan to get them all in order yesterday afternoon was well and truly scuppered by a house full of family and grandchildren all waiting for their Sunday tea no less, so as you can imagine not much tree decorating got done and too many hands of the little variety trying to help..... it's me that needed HELP!! Anyway off to sort it out now and will be glad when it is finished lol!
Guess you would like to see what we are making this week.....
For the first card I used a Hero Arts stamp called Flower Cluster Sketch stamped with Memento Black and then coloured with my Promarkers and some Sakura Glitter pens. On the front I have used D Inks Scattered Straw and Tumbled Glass to add the colour to the stamped images and some Yellow Stickles glitter glue.
I have used the same ink to stamp Posy Sketch (Hero Arts) on the second card, as well as the same D Inks with the addition of Shabby Shutters and Faded Jeans. The die cuts are both from Spellbinders dies and the sentiments and small flowers are from a set of C D's stamps called Thank You Kit, there are 15 stamps to this set.
I have highlighted the small flowers with my blue and clear glitter pens.
Hope everyone is feeling well this week, wrap up and keep yourselves warm it's cold out there!

Hero Arts Continued
Well once again yet another wet and dreary day, all the better for crafting I say! and for those of you who will be joining me this afternoon to do just that here as promised the second card for class this week...........
The Background panel has been created from white card which measures 4 3/4" x 4 3/4",
the sentiment panel is also made from white card which is just slightly larger than the stamp... 2 1/2" x 2 1/4",
the gold mirror card measures 2 3/4" x 2 1/2". The base card is cream and comes in packs of 10 with envelopes included available in the shop priced at £2.25.
I have kept this one simple in style and only used Walnut Stain D Ink pad for the stamping and colouring, a couple of die cut corners out of Gold Mirror card and the sentiment is layered onto the Gold Mirror card as well. Cream seam binding and two small self adhesive pearls add the finishing touches.
See you soon x

I need a Hero! or Hero Arts stamps? Which ever comes first?
Hi to all you ladies hope you had a really good weekend, and it was nothing like mine! We had our Grandson's Christening Yesterday and after much stress and deliberation too-ing and fro-ing , Where's this ? Where's that ? Who's got what ? Where's my? Who's taking who ? What happened to that ? What time is it? We'er going to be late, Should be at church NOW! OMG nowhere to park******, etc, etc, no wonder I came home early with an horrendous headache and went to bed before 8.30pm. I'm so glad it's Monday, Oh OMG, class cards!!! got to finish, so you can judge what my weekend was like and that's just a small part of it so it's no wonder to you all why I am so behind with this weeks classes, apologies to everyone.
Right this week we are going to use some Hero Art stamps to create our border and main image. On the first card I have used Distress inks Picked Raspberry , Evergreen Bough and Shabby Shutters and I have stamped with Memento black. I have coloured the images with the D Inks and added some glitter with my Quickie Glue pen. Both the background paper and Die cut panel have been sprayed with a gold shimmer spray. Spiders web has been added behind the main panel to add dimension and texture.
Here are a couple of pics to help you get the picture of what we will be doing this week x
The background paper has been stamped with the Script stamp in Evergreen Bough and a couple of swirl stamps in black ink and then it has been sprayed with gold shimmer mica spray.
The images have been painted with D Inks and glitter has been added to the main image with a quickie glue pen.
Here you can see the Hero Arts stamps that I used, I really like the script and sentiment stamps, the swirl stamp is from my stash.
Will post a pic of the second card we will be making later x

Bring Me Sunshine
Tuesday Class 20th Nov Thursday Class 22nd Nov
Good morning and yet another grey start to the day, and as it is class day here is what we will be making this week.......
Both set of stamps are Papermania Signature Sunflower and Build a Sunflower, which is what I have used in the first card only I decided to turn it into a daisy instead. The flower has been stamped in Memento black and coloured lightly with a Pen Touch white permanent ink pen then I have used Versamark and clear embossing powder over each layer to give the flower a glazed look, the background panel has also been stamped with Memento black and the daisy centre has been coloured with a yellow Promarker. I painted with Peeled Paint Distress Ink to fill in the background. To finish off I went round the edges of the panel and the front of the card with a Pen Touch Calligrapher Gold 5mm metallic line pen.
On the Daisy card I have also used a
Marianne Floral Flourish Die to embellish the inside panel and also to the sentiment on the front.
As you can see in my second card..........You are my Sunshine......
I have used the stamps as Sunflowers,
stamped again with black Memento ink and coloured with Caramel, Pear Green and Tulip Yellow Promarkers, any similar colours and pens will work.
Both die cut panels have been distressed very lightly with Shabby Shutters D. Ink. The background panel in yellow has been embossed with a Couture Creations Flora embossing folder and I have added some Stickles yellow glitter glue to some of the design for a touch of sparkle.
Hope everyone has a good day and I'll see you soon.

Here comes Santa with IndigoBlu
Good morning to all on this damp wet and thoroughly dismal day, may I just tell you that we had a little excitement over this weekend, well it all started last Thursday really when my daughter-in-law went into labour after her water's broke around three in the morning and at 2am. on Friday she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Holly weighing in at 7lb 4oz and absolutely gorgeous with lots of dark hair and little rosy cheeks, so I just wanted to share that with you before posting this weeks classes.
Welcome to my new Grand Daughter and congratulations to my son and daughter-in-law xx
Right now back to business this week we will be using IndigoBlu stamps "Here comes Santa"
The first card is C5 size landscape and I have used Distress Inks Dusty Concord and Chipped sapphire to create the backgroound, the trees are stamped in Archival black along with the sentiment and Santa on his sleigh. The snowflake border has been stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver powder and the snowflake die is from Cuttlebug. I also used a Pen Touch white permanent pen to create the dots of snow and a Quickie glue pen to add a touch of glitter, the moon and the sentiment panel have been embossed with clear powder.... Sorry the light was really bad and couldn't get good photo's.
The second is 6x6 white square base card with a turquoise layer in the background and this time I have stamped the snowflake border with black Archival which is mounted n foam pads and then I used
Distress inks Shabby Shutters & Peacock Feathers to colour in, again the tree and presents have been stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver powder and I add glitter to highlight but you can't see it on this photo. The large snowflake has also been glittered.

Hello and sorry it's a little late for the post today, time just ran away and I couldn't seem to catch up with it lol! Card Classes this week will be stamping backgrounds from stamps that you will be able to make yourself
which we will do at the beginning of the class. I made my background using a button theme and stamped in a couple of colours which I then punched out the Daisy flowers from before layering them up.This week we will be making a gift bag as well as a matching card, something a little different for a change.
The Daisy flower punches are from Woodware and the ink pads are Distress inks Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Festive Berries, any similar colours will also work so if you have any of these then bring them along.
See you soon Sheilagh x

Birds of a Feather
Hello and happy Halloween or should I say Trick or Treat? Great classes yesterday so thank you to all you lovely ladies who came, everyone commented on how much they loved the cards they made and enjoyed themselves a Treat he!he! Thought you might like to see two more cards I managed to finish yesterday between classes, keeping in the same theme of things as well as the same colours, well for one of them at least. The only real difference is I used another set of Christmas stamps from Woodware but this time they were Robins, they are so cute and very versatile because they don't have to be used just for Christmas as you will see in the photo's below.
The little birds on both of the cards have been stamped and some are partly coloured with my Promarkers then I used paper piecing for the rest, I used the papers left over from my dove card that I showed in the last post, killing two or more birds with one stone so to speak lol! if you get my drift?
Die cuts coloured with Evergreen Bough and Dusty Concord Distress Ink pads
Background layer - Kraft card
Birds stamped in - Archival Black
Birds coloured - Promarkers
Best Wishes - Free with Craft Stamper Mag
Paper piecing - Woodware papers
Background Glittered Paper - Papermania
Dusty Concord Distress Ink pad
Quickie glue pen
Glitter
For this card I chose to use a 12x12 background paper from Papermania and it comes in different colours with similar designs and some of them are already glittered which means that they are great value for money I think that they work out around 45p or 50p each just check this with Louise as I am a little brain dead today well it is Halloween after all
best go gather the cobwebs and my broomstick and be ready for all those horrid ugly evil little devils, OH! I mean the darling little children WWHARHAHA! HA! HA! so not good at the sound effects xx

Patchwork and seasonal Peace
CLASS CARDS
30TH October TUE / THURS 10.30 - 1.00PM
Hello crafter's, and good morning to all. Time once again to reveal this weeks card classes and not only one theme but two, firstly Peace in pastels with a slightly patchwork design and also a bright and bold seasonal Noel both cards using paper piecing techniques so your scissors are required for this lol!
The stamps are both Clear Magic from Woodware and I found so easy to use as they are big in size and the design is just as easy to follow and recreate in lots of different ways, so without further ado here is the first of my interpretations represented by a dove which is known as Peace...
The patchwork effect on the dove has been created with papers also from Woodware. The die cut is Spellbinders and distressed with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink, and the embossing folder is from Cuttle Bug. Highlights added with a Quickie glue pen and glitter and the Holly leaves have been coloured with a glitter pen.
As before this card is made in the same way
but this time using different colours of the paper which I found to be very versatile and not all necessarily Christmas orientated.
See you soon : )

Feeling a touch Oriental
Hello everyone, this week we shall be making two cards using Oriental Treasure stamp set from Papermania, I also used a blossom branch stamp from my stash. On the first card I have used Distress inks (a light blue/a darker blue/squeezed lemonade or mustard seed - these are yellow shades) Copper embossing powder, a white gel pen and Distress inks for the lanterns - a red, an orange and a yellow, so now you know what you need I had better show you the card..........
This next card is slightly more traditional than the first one as I chose a red and black theme
to contrast with the gold of the gilding flakes. I have stamped the background in black Memento and used a red Promarker to colour some of the flowers in. The Bonsai tree has been stamped onto acetate and has the gilding flakes behind it, the ribbon has been coloured with a red Distress ink pad so if you have one bring it along with the other colours I have already mentioned.
See you all at the class.

This is a sneak peek at this weeks cards, the first one is a 6 x 6 square card using a rather cute set of Papermania stamps and some background papers with subtle tones and muted colours and the added colour of a blue Distress Ink Stormy Sky, a quickie glue pen and glitter has been used to accent the flowers and butterfly and all the images have been stamped with a brown Memento Ink pad. there is a hint of pinky peach in the background paper....
Sorry the photo's are a little blurred, I
think that my camera is on the blink

Hope to see you at the class on Tuesday 2.pm - 4.30pm
Please bring the following if you have/ a quickie glue pen/ any embossing folder if you would like to use your own/Distress Ink Pad Stormy Sky or similar/your usual tool kit and trimmer x
